Step into joy at Särkänniemi‘s events, including Summer Nights at Koiramäki on July 25–27, 2024 and Tubeparkki on August 25, 2024!  Make sure to check the new arcade game hall as well.

There will also be events at Tallipiha Stable Yards throughout the summer, offering something for both adults and children. The program includes music, flea markets, and fairs, among other things.

Experience Tampere’s most popular summer events on the rooftop terrace of Restaurant Periscope. Offerings include outdoor movies, yoga, and a Caribbean atmosphere.

Don’t forget the city’s park concerts held throughout the summer!

Sports are best experienced live

Throughout the summer, both men‘s and women’s football matches by Ilves will be played at the new Tammela Stadium in Tampere. Additionally, you can enjoy the excitement of baseball provided by Manse PP at the Kauppi baseball stadium.

American football can be watched in Tampere as well. The Tampere Saints women’s Finnish Maple League home matches are also played at Pyynikki Sports Field. The Saints women compete at the highest level, in the Maple League.

The U18 Men’s Basketball European Championship tournament will be held in Tampere from July 27th to August 4th. The tournament will feature the top 16 countries in the age group.

This summer, sports enthusiasts in Tampere will also be entertained by the Disc Golf European Open tournament taking place from July 18th to 21st 2024, as well as the international Finland Premier Padel tournament from July 29th to August 4th 2024.

For the seekers of adrenaline rush, Finland’s first Extreme Fest is gonna take place in Tampere from August 2nd to 4th 2024. Experience the thrill of skydiving and other extreme sports or enjoy the free program and performances of other daredevils. After a day full of adventure, relax and indulge in good company.

For art lovers

You can also admire the Finlayson Art Area again this summer! It’s one of Finland’s largest art events, showcasing over 20 art pieces in Finlayson’s indoor galleries, public spaces, and courtyards. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the artworks of the area will be on display from June 14th to August 25th 2024.

The Museum Milavida’s new exhibition basks in the top of fashion. The Masterpieces of Fashion exhibition showcases the glamorous and colorful history of fashion from the 1770s to the 2010s.

Music and festival atmosphere

The festival summer kicks off in Tampere with the legendary Tammerfest. The festival, held from July 18-20, 2024, will feature performances by Kaija Koo, Haloo Helsinki, Kuumaa, Jenni Vartiainen, and Juha Tapio, among others.

Tampere’s heaviest festival echoes in the scenic Viikinsaari on August 4th-5th. SaariHelvetti, the heaviest celebration in Tampere in August, will feature bands like Turmion Kätilöt, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Monuments, and Mortiis.

In August, there’s no need to worry about the end of summer yet, as Blockfest will rock Ratinanniemi on August 16th-17th. In the largest hip-hop festival in the Nordics, you’ll see acts like 21 Savage, Meek Mill, Chief Keef and Killer Mike.

Hiedanranta Garden Party is a delightful summer closing celebration on August 17th. It offers music, performances, children’s activities, art, dance, circus, glimpses into the sustainable future of the neighborhood, and, of course, plenty of fun activities and a sense of community!
