Laskiaiscroissants
One of the latest hits is the laskiaiscroissant, available at Boulangerie Marco in Tullintori. Marco’s version is filled with whipped white chocolate ganache and raspberry jam. Boulangerie Marco’s laskiaiscroissants are available not only at Tullintori, but also at Tampere Market Hall.
Pyymäen Oma’s selection also includes laskiaiscroissants filled with caramel. In addition, the selections features shrovetide buns with raspberry jam, almond paste and pistachio. These treats are available both at the Tuomiokirkonkatu café and at Pyymäen Aira.

At Café de Halle, you’ll find both the traditional laskiaispulla and a Biscoff version, inspired by the café’s popular Biscoff cheesecake. The treat is finished with a generous drizzle of caramel sauce.

Two-layer buns
The famous two-layer buns can be found at Tallipiha Stable Yards and its café. Filling options include strawberry, raspberry, lemon curd, Nutella, caramel, vanilla and almond paste. If you’re craving something smaller, single-layer versions are also available.
More sweet discoveries
Café Puusti is an artisan bakery-café best known for its cinnamon rolls, and this year its shrovetide bun flavours include almond, raspberry, vanilla-blueberry, and caramel. The selection has recently expanded with two new additions: blood orange and chocolate-salty liquorice.
At Bistro Venla on Kauppakatu, display cases are filled with laskiaispullat. Options range from the traditional raspberry jam filling to a version made with Biscoff spread.
Kahvila Laikku café offers one of the widest selections, with flavours such as raspberry, almond paste, Nutella, milk chocolate-salted caramel, and lemon cheesecake.
Meanwhile, Relove Second Hand & Café on the first and third floors of Stockmann puts a twist on the seasonal favourite with its laskiaispuusti – a cinnamon roll filled with either almond paste or raspberry jam.
