Henriks is where the traditional meets the trends; youthful staff and classic milieu get together with authentic flavours. Henriks’ Saturday brunch includes generous appetizer buffet, delicious main course and dessert that are served to the tables. There are two options for the main course, and the bubbly is not overpriced either. Also take-away but remember to pre-book it.

During the summer season, the Restaurant Viikinsaari serves delicious brunches on both Saturdays and Sundays in the stunning surroundings of Viikinsaari island. The lush Viikinsaari can be reached by taking the Silver Line ferry from Laukontori every hour on the hour, with return ferries departing from Viikinsaari on the half-hour.

Pyymäen Oma brunch includes an appetizer buffet, main course made by order, and cake and coffee as the dessert. Brunch is available both on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm.

International flavours

Muusa serves brunch on Sundays from noon till 4 pm. Mixing Mediterranean, Middle-Eastern and North-African tastes with local produce, the brunch is an excellent way to get to know Muusa’s world of flavours. Vegan and gluten-free options available.

The brunch in Kulttuuriravintola Kivi serves for example spicy sausages and vegetable curry on Saturdays at 11 am and 1 pm. Make sure to taste their famous pastes and curds!

In Maranga, the sparkling wine lover is spoiled with a changing Sunday brunch about once a month from noon to 5pm. Maranga publishes the brunch menus on its social media channels about a week before. Making a table reservation is recommended!

Asian delicacies are served at Borneo in Itsenäisyydenkatu street. Borneo’s brunch is a great way to start your weekend every Saturday from 11 am to 4 pm.

For the friends of traditional brunch

Pella’s Café serves brunch right along the main street, behind big windows. Among other things there’s freshly baked bread and other delicacies, a collection of cheese, yoghurt and home-made muesli, warm dishes and sweet treats. Brunch is served on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 am to 3 pm.

Right in the heart of the city, next to the Central Market, you will find Aitoleipä Café. Aitoleipä serves a varied brunch on Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 3 pm. Brunch serves a wide variety of cheese, vegetables, pastries and desserts. There are also plenty of options for people with vegan or gluten-free diets.

Restaurant Mint serves brunch Saturdays and Sundays from 11 am till 3 pm. For the slow mornings Mint serves fresh salads, omelettes, different types of jams, freshly baked goods from their own bakery and warm dishes with also vegetarian options. The highlight of the brunch is the cakes from their bakery.

Restaurant Puisto serves brunch in the middle of the main street Hämeenkatu. Brunch is served on weekends from 9 am till 2 pm. There are variable of organic porridges, freshly baked break, karelian pies, fresh fruit, cheese, bacon and omelettes. Also natural yougurt, berries and granola. For dessert you can bake your own pancake and top it with whipped cream, nutella and jam.

Atmospheric brunch places

We recommend making a reservation if you desire to have brunch at Café Pispala. Their brunch, served in an idyllic wooden house in the Pispala district, is really popular! The brunch is served to the tables and there are a few different options to choose from, including American pancakes, eggs, bacon, fruit and yoghurt. Free refill for coffee (and amazing Pispala views). Brunch available on Saturdays and Sundays until late in the afternoon.

Lillan Hotel & Kök offers atmospheric and delicious breakfast experience every day of the week; Mon-Fri 7 – 10 am and at weekends 8-10 am. Most products are self-made, and special diets are taken into account. Reservation on the previous day is needed, as many people love the atmosphere of the place.

Café Katto serves brunch with a great view from the roof-top of Finlayson. Brunch is gluten-free.

Tuulensuu Palace organizes a movie brunch once a month, which invites you to enjoy a wonderful environment, delicious brunch and beloved movies.

Grand Hotel Tammer brunch makes a comeback after years of being away. Brunch is served on weekends on two servings at 12 pm and at 2:30 pm. There are delicious salads, seafood, hot dishes, fresh fruit and vegetables, not forgetting classic brunch delicacies and a dessert buffet. Brunch specialities include marinated green mussels and the dessert table’s fluffy American pancakes.
