It’s easy to unwind in a sauna between matches. As the Sauna Capital of the World, Tampere is home to more than 70 public saunas across the region, so you’ll have plenty of options to choose from!
At Kaupinoja sauna, you can dive into local life and take a refreshing dip in the waters of Näsijärvi straight from the sauna. Rajaportti sauna, on the other hand, is a true historical gem as it’s the oldest public sauna in Finland still in use today. If you’re in the mood for a morning sauna, Sauna-restaurant Kuuma offers a possibility for that right in the heart of the city.

Experience culture between matches
Between matches, take the opportunity to explore Tampere’s diverse cultural scene. The city is home to fascinating museums, inspiring art exhibitions and a wide range of memorable experiences. Here are a few pics:

Head outdoors
In Tampere, nature is always close by. Just a short distance from the city centre, Pyynikki offers stunning lake views and scenic walking trails. Whether you’re looking for a leisurely stroll or a longer walk, Pyynikki is the perfect place to enjoy the outdoors. While you’re there, climb the Pyynikki Observation Tower for panoramic views and treat yourself to its famous doughnuts and coffee!
Another excellent destination for outdoor activities is Kauppi. The area features kilometres of walking and jogging trails winding through peaceful forests, making it easy to escape into nature without leaving the city. You can also visit the Niihaman Ulkoilumaja where you can prepare your own meal at the campfire sites or stop by the cosy café.
If you’d like to venture a little further from the city centre, the Hervanta hiking and conservation area is easy to reach by tram. The nearest tram stop is just a few hundred metres from the edge of the area. The reserve offers around 10 kilometres of marked trails as well as two campfire sites.
Shopping
If you feel like doing some shopping between matches, it’s easy because there are three shopping centres located right next to Nokia Arena: Ratina, Koskikeskus and Tullintori offer a wide range of fashion, beauty, home decor and sporting goods.
If you’re looking for local design and unique finds, head to the charming Stable Yards, where cosy wooden cottages are home to artisan boutiques.
