Pyynikki route

Start your run from the Eteläpuisto park and run the shore via Eteläpuiston rantapolku road and enjoy the breathtaking lake views on your left. Then run past the Scandic Hotel Rosendahl to Pyynikintie road and continue past UNITY Tampere hotel. Soon on your left there’s Varala Sport Institute and Flow Park climbing adventure park. From Pyynikintie road turn right to Tahmelantie road. On this road you’ll run surrounded by big pine trees. Head towards Satakunnankatu street via Vesilinnankatu and onwards to Hämeenpuisto boulevard that ends in Eteläpuisto park. This route is ~5,5 kilometers long and there are several uphill roads.

Ranta-Tampella route

Start from Tampellan esplanadi and head towards Näsijärvi lake. Turn left and run along the shore. There’s also a free outdoor gym on the way. Continue to Näsinsilta bridge and run towards Särkänniemi amusement park. On your left there’s the lush green Näsinpuisto park with stunning lakeside view over Näsijärvi. There is a fountain, memorial and playground in the park, and the beautifully renovated Milavida Museum, too. Run by Tallipiha Stable Yards towards Palatsinraitin silta bridge and enjoy the historical atmosphere of the red-brick buildings in Finlayson area.

Hatanpää arboretum route

The sand roads, lake views and lush gardens in the Hatanpää arboretum attract joggers for a run. You can start your run anywhere and head towards the shore. There are many roads criss-crossing the area so you can do a quick run in the arboretum and the rose garden or head towards Härmälä district along the shore. When you follow the Härmälä-Vihilahti road it will take you to Härmälän rantapuisto park and Tampere Camping Härmälä.

In the arboretum you can admire trees, shrubs, perennials, annual summer flowers and spice plants. The pearl of the arboretum is the rose garden, located south of the Hatanpää manor house. The rose garden is bordered by an old manor park. There are also two summer cafés in the arboretum.

Kauppi route

Surrounded by lush green forests, Kauppi Sports Park is a versatile venue for various kinds of sports and jogging tracks in the surrounding forests. Also the public Kaupinoja sauna and beach are just across the street. Why not take a refreshing dip in the lake after a run along the tracks?
