Information concerning coronavirus (COVID-19)


Thankfully we have plenty of nature around us! A break from our hectic lives is now necessary and there’s no better place than our beautiful nature to make the best of it.

Remember to take care of yourselves and each other. 


Visit Tampere follows closely to the impacts of coronavirus epidemic for the Tampere region.

The Finnish government has decided to limit public gatherings to no more than ten persons, and it is recommended to avoid spending unnecessary time in public places. Most events are cancelled to prevent the spreading of coronavirus.

All Tampere libraries, museums and indoor sport facilities are closed until further notice. Please follow their own channels for more information.

Finland has closed its borders starting from 19 March 2020 and suspended travel to Finland until further notice. This applies to everyone except Finnish citizens and foreigners with permanent residence in Finland.
